I've had a couple people ask how I made the form I use for christmas cards, and where the information is going. It's just a Google Spreadsheets form. You fill it out, and it adds a row to a spreadsheet.

Not any less secure than sending me an email, but quite a bit easier to deal with on my end. ;)

Hey everyone! It's that time of the year again... the weather's getting a bit colder, christmas music is playing on repeat, the smell of pine might be filling your living room, and hopefully you're surrounded by people you love.

Really, I don't know what else to say. But I'll try anyway. :P

I flew in on Thursday night, arriving at midnight. Turns out things start early Thursday evening. I'll be sure to fly in sooner next year.

I also made the mistake of scheduling a flight back Sunday night. Thankfully Southwest has an awesome change policy and there were some cheap seats still open, so I was able to fix that mistake for pretty cheap.

That said, I had an absolutely awesome time hanging with friends, and made some new ones. I loved hanging out with all of you. <3

Also, some big news: I have a fursuit! I'm now the proud owner of Fizz, who was built by (and previously owned by)  Matrices. I love him sooo much already, and I had a blast bouncing around the con as him. It's gonna take me some time to develop the character and build up a bit more confidence while I'm in suit, but I'll get there.

Today is my birthday. Hurray! \(^_^)/

I'm still not sure how I'm going to celebrate it since I've been so busy lately, but I'm sure I'll think up something to do soon.

Since my birthday always falls close to Thanksgiving, it's also good time to think about what I'm thankful for in life. And more than anything right now, I'm thankful to have such wonderful friends in my life. That's all of you. I just wanted to get that out there. <3

Speaking of which, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving — one full of family, friends, and lots of turkey!

I have a list of people I really don't like to be around. It's a very short list, only having 3 or 4 people on it. I'm not going to list names here, it's not important and not my style.

Why are people on this list? It's because they make things awkward. Really awkward. And they've been told to stop on numerous occasions by different people, but don't.

Now, by all accounts, I shouldn't care. They haven't done anything to me personally, other than perhaps violating my personal space. But it bugs me that they don't seem to care about the feelings of anyone around them.

Now, it's gotten to the point where I don't really want to be in the same room as these people, and it's starting to ruin my mood when they show up to events. I feel like I'm enabling these people by being around them, and avoiding them often isn't possible.

However, I realize this isn't a positive trait in myself.

So, my question to all of you: How do you deal with people like this?

It's been a bit under a week since I returned from Anthrocon. This was my first time at AC, not to mention Pittsburgh. Let's just say I'm already counting the days until I return there next year (hopefully!).

For years, people have been telling me how big AC was. I showed up expecting something so large that I wouldn't recognize anyone; the sort of place where you just get lost in the crowd. In reality, the only thing that really felt larger was the walk to get to the main ballroom from the hotel. I ran into friends within moments of arriving, and had no trouble seeing people I knew everywhere I went.

Seth Otter was kind enough to let me borrow Woofus, his german shepherd fursuit, for the trip. I was just glad to give him some fun adventures at the convention. I even managed to get one of coveted Dorsai Irregular eartags! Here's a few pictures of him hanging out in the lobby:

Here's a list of fun experiences from the con:

- Rooming with GroggyFox and FrostDemn. I couldn't ask for better roommates!
- Chillin with Doryuu, Kendoro, SD, Tsukaza, Howee, Slash, Phor and the rest of the gang! (Sorry if I left you out, it's not intentional!)
- Late night antics with Skroy, who totally had us fooled into thinking he was drunk.
- Running into Kannakin, Eden, Touch My Badger, and Sparky in the dealers lounge.
- Running around downtown Pittsburgh to find party supplies while everything was closed.
- Bidding in the art auction, which included a free cup of coffee from Tani Da Real.
- Participating in my first fox hunt. (It's an amateur radio thing.)
- Watching Uncle Kage's and 2 The Ranting Gryphon's shows in person.
- Yippee's panel on the "Power of Pretend".
- Airport Con 2010, which included an impromptu appearance of 2 The Ranting Gryphon at the checkin counter.
- Flying back home with a plane-load of furs, including RexWolf, Karwood, Kipper, Locrian, and Ootachi and watching GroggyFox fursuit onboard the plane.

I'm sure I've forgotten somebody or something that should be on this list. If so, help jog my memory by leaving a comment!

3. I was thinking about love today. Despite all the people who have been interested in me, I find it very difficult to actually form a deep emotional connection with anyone. The very few times I think I've come close, I seem to run away with my tail between my legs.

On the other hand, some people seem to have no problem finding love. It even seems to come naturally. Heck, there's people who had all this figured out in middle school!

It's that time of the year again. Turkey and (my favorite!) pumpkin pie. Yup, Thanksgiving.

November has a special meaning for another reason too. It's my birthday! On November 27, the day after Thanksgiving, I'll be 24 years old. (It also happens to be Black Friday.)

This one is particularly special, though. It's been one year, to the month, since I bought my own car for the first time. Which is important, because it's the car that took me to Further Confusion for the first time, and to local furmeets for the first time, and to meet many of you for the first time.

On my birthday this year, I don't really need any gifts. Getting to know all of you has been worth more than any gift I can think of.

And that's something I have to be thankful for.

Oh, and let's not forget that I've been meeting lots of interesting fuzzies from around the bay area. Too many to list all at once. You all know who you are! I'm doing a bad job of keeping in touch with everyone, but I'm going to try hard to fix that.

And hey, maybe while I'm at it I'll finally get around to drawing and making a fursuit. Only 6 months until the next FC, which is my self imposed deadline for having one finished. *crosses fingers*

So, I finally got around to reading  Blotch's The Dog's Days Of Summer. I won't spoil the ending for those of you who haven't read it, but I really liked it. I really wish I had bought one of the shirts before they sold out.

In other news, tonight I heard a fellow fur play a beautiful song named "Furr" by Blitzen Trapper. It's a very furry song, though apparently the band doesn't have any connections with the fandom.
