if devs keep trying in rpgmaker, they will keep failing. I've created a few prototypes in godot and it was still a miserable experience like the remtairy blog described it. I can only imagine the development hell that is rpgmaker.

Fate stay night, huh? first of all its about story and characters, their design and elaboration of the world. Atleast some sketch for the start would be good, for public evaluation. Maybe they don't need it at all

I haven't played KP since I got a job at the gym, it's about a year, I think...or 2? So is modding dead? Or are they still doing something good?

You joke but you're absolutely right. He seems to think he's the second coming of Christ because he made one good game- which, day after day seems to have been a fluke with how many bad/divisive decisions he's been making ever since the game released. Gym DLC is divisive. CG renewal is divisive. Smaller boobs was pointless as people are still saying they wish they were even smaller. Bigger boobs is divisive as people are saying it's too big now though most seem to like them me included... Although it did take a WHOLE year to finish because he decided to renew the CG-s as well... Yeah... Oh and ofcourse, deciding his next game is not gonna have the very thing that made this game popular. Genius idea right? Additionally he's got weird excuses, week long depression? Going to a board game convention BECAUSE he wants new ideas for his game? Okay. Just admit you wanna take a break and have fun, jesus...

Id chalk it more up to not knowing how to capitalize on his success. He clearly made a quality game and his previous title Melty's Quest while more simple was still quite good. I dont think someone could blame him for trying to milk something this huge (like her newest DLC) for what he can before moving on. Hes just a bit lost in the sauce.

This reeks grindy (which already include predatory and grindy) hero rpg, with Sex seperated from the mechanics and are only there as a bonus because it's a Sex Games. Its Nutaku (not indie, a proper company in japan) championed this with predatory live service web browsers games.

Maybe that's the model Rem is looking for, but that peaked almost a decade ago.

Needless to say, that's a tiny little stepdown from Karryn's Prison.

Question for you then, on dlsite when you go to the circle (got this via the melty's quest thread on this site) (game's not under this circle),
You must be registered to see the links
and you click the support the circle button, why does it link to remtairy? I'm not sure of the whole history of melty's quest.

Also melty's quest is under remtairy's circle now on dlsite:

happy life is my best guess from looking at old names (it used to be listed under that name and it all links to remtairy now)

also ditching everything that made KP popular and good for another generic sex on the side with most likely crappy side gameplay sounds like such a bad idea

Yeah, that's what I linked in my post. When you click the support the circle button, it leads to remtairy's ci-en page.

My best guess is that remtairy became a part of, or was a part of that group, and they rebranded to remtairy. No idea lol.

The way I understand it, Happy Life was Sachi's old circle. Then Rem got involved in the English translation of Melty's Quest. Then Sachi and Rem teamed up to create the circle Remtairy.

That makes sense why it leads back to it now, and why it's on remtairy's circle instead of happy life. I'm guessing the switch was because of it going on steam and said teamup.

Thank you for the answers, just doing a tiny bit of research into it confused me lol.

I forgot to respond to this since you were probably editing it as you went along, I tend to do that too. Yeah, I agree, it reminds me of monster girl island, but that situation is far worse, because redamz decided to go away from 18+ (you know what made him popular and people support him), to just visual novel stuff, haha. No sex scenes at all, yeah I don't see that going too well because that's what people were going to him for.
