I was at Ace Hardware yesterday afternoon wearing my Just a Few Acres Farm Crewneck and two different people commented on how much they enjoyed your channel and content. Everything from the winter pasture, the 856 restoration, and upcoming Titus and Orden's dominance battle came up. I surmise you and Hilarie have thousands of people who appreciate your work ethic and wish the best for you and your family farm as I certainly do. Cheers
What a wonderful testament!
Wow! That cross stitch is incredible!!! Excellent work; will be a beautiful work of art, framed and hung in a place of honor - enjoyed by generations to come, for sure.
Attended a funeral yesterday for a very good friend taken from us way too soon. The "Each day is a Gift" came through loud and clear during the service. Quiet day to reflect. Which includes watching "Just a Few Acres Farm" channel. Thanks Pete and Hilary.
If I could only watch one RUclips channel it would be Pete! I watch a number of channels, but none as satisfying as this one. I feel as if he is my friend, brother, father, and grandfather, teacher, mentor, and expert, all rolled up into one!
I agree 100%.It's just the best love it.❤❤
I whole heartily agree, Pete's explanations and demonstrations are tremedous . His methods are prime exam les of making a plan and working a plan. With all the economic turmoil going on in the world these days .Great people like Pete and Hilary provide all their viewers with some much needed peace and serenity.
Thank you Frank! We are thankful to have so many folks interested in our little farm.
@@JustaFewAcresFarm You and Hillary may have a small farm Pete, but the responsibilities that go along with it are huge! You have so many folks interested in your little farm because of your "Quality" videos. Keep 'um coming!
And vintage Intl.Harv. tractor mechanic/restorer...
Thank you so much Pete to share, with us all, this part of your life. Your integrity, enthusiasm, and positivism are contagious.
I take joy in the simple act of listening to you talk about your farm, the cows, the tractors, the chickens. And your cross stitch picture is beautiful!
Hi, Wow! Your stitching craft is remarkable 😮. I learn so much from your machinery maintenance. Aerial shors...Altogether, great viewing 😊 Lorraine. Australia
Oh, she's gonna be one purdy tractor when she's all put together! Congrats on the win for the winter pasture, it's always nice to see a plan come together. Keep warm you two. God bless you in your efforts.
Taking joy in the simple things is absolutely critical for long term happiness!
What an improvement the drainage tile made on the winter pasture.
I was told once that I was a real Renaissance man, but boy, does Pete have me beat.
That tapestry is a beautiful work of art. And the 856 is a brute.
Thanks, Pete! May you and Hilarie have a beautiful day.
The grease board was a pretty slick move. No pun intended. Great video as always!
Pete you always take me back to my childhood growing up on a farm. Thank you for the simple life memories…
Oh how I used to love cross stitching. I have arthritic hands now and can't manage it, The hours you have put in on this are worth it. It's beautiful ! Thanks for unwrapping it so we could see it. I've really enjoyed this video...every part of it.
Maybe look into going carnivore, eating only ruminant meat, eggs and salt. It does really good things for various inflammatory conditions, such as yours. Has helped me immensely.
Welcome back! It's always a joy to see a video from you. Thanks Pete, take care
Best half hour on the internet. Thanks for sharing. Be well. Hi Hillary.
Restoration is looking great Pete. Your labor of love for farm equipment shines like a bright sunny day. Your videos are always appreciated .Thanks Pete
Hey Pete, I enjoy the mixed bag videos that show a bit of everything! Thank you.
Burgers look great Pete! Thanks for having us along. Tractor looks better than new!
The SIMPLE things, like watching you do things that are still near and dear memories for me. Thanks Pete, may God continue to bless you, your family and the USA!
Thank you for the tractor video's. I'm retired now five years, and watching your wonderful rebuilds gave me the courage to try it. I grew up a factory worker in the city. I knew nothing about tractors or farming. I now live in the country and I have a For Jubilee. I have rebuilt the engine and I'm thinking about trying some painting and detailing, I'm concerned about trying it. I've never done anything like this. Thank you again you've given me purpose in my retirement!
“I love this tire” 😂😂😂 never a dull moment pete!! Keep up the good work great video!
Beautiful needlepoint/embroidery! An heirloom in the making. Thanks for sharing. ❤😊
Nice video Pete! Love your ending comment about life simplest things being the most important!Nice progress on the tractor, putting on those huge rear tires has to be a great feeling!
"I love this tire." ... lol. You're a lot of fun.
And yeah, getting a project back on its own tires is a huge milestone. That tractor looks fantastic.
Enjoying the simple things is easier some days than others. I know I struggle with it, but I think I'm getting better. Thanks, Pete!
As a fellow cross stitcher, your piece is really good. Even the back. 😄
Each day is a gift. Unwrap and find joy, even in the challenge of life, find a small thing to be thankful for. Thanks for sharing your time, talent and thoughts
My wife does needle point and stated that is amazing work and I agree, a breath of fresh air. Thank you
Thank you Pete, that was a very, very enjoyable video. This is Ben in N.C. My wife Suzanne and I watch all your videos and we always look forward to the next one. Sometimes we go back in time and watch some of your early videos.
Suzanne said that is the best cross-stitching she's ever seen, especially the fine details like the bark on the tree and then the leaves. Suzanne has done a lot of cross-stitching over the last 15 years or so.
In 2009 I retired after 32 years in the USAF. I was in the DOD Attache Program and we (Suzanne, me, and our three kids) spent 27 years overseas, almost all of that in Latin America. Now we have six grandkids that we treasure. We both stay busy with chores around the house. I do raised bed gardening; Suzanne has her raised beds herbal garden which my two sisters raid on a regular basis.
One of our sons-in-law has a raised bed garden in a nearby meadow on our property and it's doing very well. Always an excess of fresh healthy vegetable raised organically in the spring, summer and early fall.
Suzanne also is part of a women's Bible study group and a book club; she gets together about once a week in the evening to play Mah-Jong with my oldest sister and some women we're related to by marriage.
This winter was not too cold and we got a lot of rain, which kept me indoors most of the time and now I have a lot to catch up with.
I agree completely with your advise. Enjoy the simple things in life. God bless you and Hilary and your three children.
Another welcome episode from Just a Few Acres Farm and our resident zen guru Pete. When you had the pull-away with the drone shot at 13:39, it looks like you almost clipped the tree tops! Only Pete would quip "I love this tire" at 17:48 as he gropes around it, trying to tighten a nut. Your needlepoint at 19:53 shall become a family heirloom as it's a labor of love and a pleasure for the eyes. Thank you for your entertaining video, Pete. The tractor is really coming along, and when I saw you wheel those rear tires out of the trailer, I was amazed at the size of those monsters. No wonder you love them! (smile!)
Every moment of this video was a treasure . Thank you Pete , nice needle work .
Absolutely love these mixed videos!
Drone shot of Poo Mountain. Drainage ditch. Burgers. Both the beautatious tractor and embroidery. And fooey. Blessings to you. ❤❤❤
Thank you for showing your cross stitching! It is amazing!!
My simple joy is watching your videos. Thanks, Pete, for making my Sunday.
A man of many talents.
I love the drone footage with the harmonica and singer.😊
Thanks Pete! Hubby and I love your channel - he's a retired toolmaker/design draftsman/teacher, 85 now, and he loves his lawn bowls in retirement. Recently tho, he had a bad spell of anxiety, nothing specific, maybe just an old age thing. He's on some medication which is helping a lot, but seeing you doing the tapestry has given us the idea that something like that would be an excellent occupation for when he's not bowling. Calming and meditative, thank you so much. ❤
Pete can’t wait to see that beautiful tractor in action. Looks amazing keep up the awesome videos have a great day
Beautiful needle point. Nice job.❤😊❤😊🎉
At 72, 5’5” and shrinking…your tire wrangling caught my attention this morning. You’re an even bigger guy than I’d realized! Whew! Love your smart grease trick.
I’d feel more comfortable sorting my herd in slick mud.
Enjoy your videos on many levels. Put up a crop of nice small bales last season with rehabbed equipment, thanks to your ‘help’. Appreciate your thoughtful, intelligent, educated approach.
Pete has done a few things that made me realize he is a strong individual.
You and Farmer Tyler Ranch, my two favorite Farming/Ranching Channels!
You and I have a lot in common then! Pete and Tyler have created the 2 best agriculture channels on RUclips. There is no contest! It's funny how subscriber numbers are not an indicator of the quality of the content. Evelyn in Minnesota
Good morning Pete !!!
Amazing to me how you were able to install the rear wheels & rims, not only by yourself, but made it look easy !!!!
Have a great day !!!
Enjoy life while you have it. Tomorrow is not promised.
Pete: You're stuck, Ezra...
Ezra: Turns into liquid and vanishes❤😂
The needlework is beautiful!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share part of your life . 👍👍👍👍👍
Variety is the spice of life, a man who is a Jack of all Trades and a Master of All!!❤😊. I admire you Pete, and family!!!!!
Blessings ❤
Pete, thanks for representing the largest military, mechanical and agricultural University in the World! TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY. Their slogan is FARMERS FIGHT
Hilary, I admire you it is not easy to be a farmer’s wife you do a good job!
Great video Pete, I love the drone footage. 😀
When you first showed the cows via drone I thought they were bugs on a wall! 😂
Pete, The 856 videos are awesome! Gives a real appreciation for the genesis of the engineering, design and machining of these tractors
back in the day.
The simple things for me is just relaxing and watching Pete do his chores . I am a long time viewer and would miss my friend if you would to stop. Best Wishes
Thanks Pete. Love to you all and to all!
awesome video today! One if your best ever.
Hi Pete, that tractor is an absolute masterpiece! You are an amazing person with a ton of talent! Cheers to you and yours!
Thank you for getting started in a project and completing it. So many people start projects and never finish them around here. makes me kinda sad and a bit angry too.
Missing your videos….greetings from down Australia…stay safe n warm…
G'day from the Grampians Vic !
Absolutely the best content on RUclips by miles! You guys truly are a gift for all of us who watch. Positivity, peace, patience, education, encouragement and entertainment in every nook and cranny. Thank you for what you do!
I could feel your sense of relief after the rear tires were back on. Just makes the whole project a bit safer to work on so to speak. Tires on the ground beat jacks on the ground any day. Beautiful work on tractor, or should I say exceptional!! When I was young, I used to eagerly anticipate watching Roy Rodgers on TV. He was my hero. Now since those years are long since past, I eagerly anticipate watching your videos. Thank you for the peace and serenity that I feel when watching your videos. By the way, the hamburgers smelled delicious.
Nice to see you looking so well, Mr Pete. God bless you & stay well. TFS
So happy to see a new video!! Missing your videos so much went back and watched older one. So grateful y'all share your lives with us!! Thank you.
I recently moved from SoCal hustle and bustle to 7 miles outside of Marion, KY where there are few people and MANY cows and birds. I'm 72 and am trying to pass gracefully.
I tell you, you could make a business out of restoring those tractors. You do a great job, I would buy one, because I could trust what you did after watching all these restorations
That cross stitch picture looks amazing. The 856 is going to look great when it's finished. Thanks for the video. All the best 🇬🇧.
Who knew that watching a man put a ginormous tire on his tractor would be so fascinating and here I am, glued to watching.
I'm a sub and watch all your videos, yet I don't comment very often. I have to say, I loved the drone footage of your farm in this video, It is absolutely beautiful. You and Hillary have your own little paradise right there on the farm. The burgers on the grill looked good as well. Hope you and your family have a great day.
Your grease on the plywood idea is great! Sure beats trying to slide the wheel on dry concrete.
That was a really nice opening.
Thank you for bringing your joy to us.🤗
Spanish guitar intro was a nice choice....Keeps it original, Pete. Always a pleasure watchin your "dream factory" productions, for most of us I imagine.
Pete you are a amazing man of many talents. From one old farm boy to another you are doing a beautiful job restoring tractors. I love your videos about your whole farm ! Thank you so much for sharing with us all. God Bless you and your family!
Excellent .... thanks for reminding me about the simple things in life. We all need to be reminded from time to time, in this busy world
Thank you Pete great video it had it all. Was it just me or did red paint look better with no daylight ? And the drone shoots were just briiiiant 👏 we are so lucky to have you on RUclips 🧰🛠️
When I worked on Monster trucks back in the day to put on the big tires we used a old mud flap and dishwasher soap to slide the big tires on
Thanks for taking us along have a great day.
Yes joy in the simple things 😊 The tractor is looking great, when finished it'll be awesome. What a superb job you've done on restoring it😉
Impressive watching you wrangle those wheels on by yourself.
Pete, you've outdone yourself on the background music lately. I look forward to your music selections almost as much as your videos. 😊😊 Great job!
It is true, enjoy the simple things. We spent the day after church working to prepare our garden and enjoyed being outside. But what i enjoyed most was seeing our dianthus in bloom. It is nearly 3 feet in diameter with purple flowers and blue-green foliage. My spirits are lifted every time I look at it.
Wow, look at you Pete. Stepped around the corner was fixing supper, listening to your video that familiar your voice. Then it went to music. Perplexed, I thought the channel had changed on me to today’s country music. Man, the music, those cows, then back to the old familiar Pete. Way to go way to mix it up your heads and tails above the rest. Love your channel More this to come, I hope.
After a long military career and being in some of the most stressful and dangerous situations I have ever faced I 100% agree with you Pete. I enjoy the simple things and try not to worry about the pressures of adulting. I wake up every day looking forward what the day will bring and let the external stressful stuff just roll off my back. Peace my friend.
Thank you for your service
@@mikewatson4644 thank you sir
Thank you for your service, sir.
Once it warms up spring will come roaring in, the grass will explode. I love red tractors and the big rear tires make a tractor, a tractor, so installing them really gives it that iconic look. I can't wait to see it running and working. Keep it up Big Pete.
I love your needle work. I love the animals. You and your wife are special. Thanks for our little insights into your lives
I am currently 45. I learned to cross stitch with my grandmother when I was 10 or so. She has since passed but I remember every bit of that time spent with her.
Needlework is beautiful!
Your cross-stich project is just beautiful! The end is in sight!
This tractor project is looking like it will be one to be very proud of. Display time!!!!!
Pete, you have no idea how much my wife needed your video to take our attention off of a tragic event that happened to our family today. My brother-in-law passed away way too young. My wife was devastated. Your calming ways were a true comfort for the both of us. Thank you for doing these videos.
Prayers and thoughts for your family.
Wow, that's REALLY impressive cross stitch!! I hope that you're able to get all of the broiler chicks that you want.
Beautiful cross-stitch under your halo!😊 It could easily be your farm!
I loved the drone footage. The cows must have thought "what a strange bird!"
Thanks Pete!
Loved this video Pete. Enjoyed the mixture of farm life. The cross stitch you're working on is beautiful. Thanks for sharing a part of your day to day life. It's appreciated. Looking forward to the next one!
20:46 that picture is pure perfection every stitch is exact. Makes me wish I had been pursuing the completion of the Christmas stocking I was given. I have enjoyed every moment of this video and I still look forward to each one that comes out. Thank youse for sharing them. I can’t wait to see Hilary and the chicks.
Good morning Mr Pete 😊. Your restoration is a beaut. Great to visit with you, enjoy the bits, cows are cute and the pastures are working out ❣️. Take care and see y'all next week. Have a Blessed Palm Sunday ❤️🔥
I worked at the Firestone Ag plant in Des Moines for 32 years splicing fabric for the tire builders. The 18.4 was a big runner. I know that Bridgestone owns it now but it is still Firestone to us old timers. I like your channel.
A man of all trades and pretty precise at what he does. Your cross stitch is beautiful!
Enjoying the 856 restoration. In my part of the country, the Farmall tractors of that time all came with 38" rear wheels. The Wheatland tractors generally had the 34" rear wheels. My 856 had 15.5 38 when I purchased it used. At the first tire change, I went with 18.4 38. 18.4 42 wasn't available at that time but if it had been, I would have gone that route. To use the 42" diameter wheels, the 38" center was still used but the lugs were replaced with ones to increase the diameter.
Thank you for the video
Pete once again I’m impressed by your knowledge of the tractor rebuilding. Keep up the good work and I’m glad you found some chickens.
Just a few acres farm/ Pete I just want to say I wish I could put into words truly how much this channel has changed my life I’m 19 years old I remember the first just a few acres video I watch it was about the f-20 I think it was title a guide to the farmall f-20 and the moment I watched that I realized two things their actually are people are thing planet who love and take pride in what they do I’ve personally never seen much of it on real life the second thing I realized is I loved knowledge and specifically mechanical knowledge it was just so fascinating to me that we humans we truly come up with bizarre things to solve our problems I just finished getting my late fathers kubota bx running (significantly smaller and less of machine than this but still means a lot to me) and if it wasn’t for all the videos I’ve watched I’ve you I don’t think I would be into mechanics and tractors so much I don’t know honestly what I’d have in life without it so thank you Pete because of these videos you have inspired a young motivated mechanic/machinist to attempt things I never thought I’d do I know this comment is incredible long but I really hope you can read this and understand truly what inspiration these videos have done for me
Your embroidery is beautiful. Lots of time and patience to create something so beautiful.
Good Morning! Another great video to start the day with.
The song at 13 min. has a similar chord progression as "Miss Ohio" by Gillian Welch. Always enjoy your videos. Good progress in this one! A funny line in "Miss Ohio" is "Well she wants ta do right, but not right now..." Thanks Pete. Spring is close!
